Information Session: Supporting International Students in the Classroom In-Person

Do you currently have International Students or New Americans in your classroom? Please join us for Supporting International Students in the Classroom, a brown bag lunch information session presented by the International Student and Scholar Services Office on September 15th 12-12:45 in Bulter 318.

Staff will share ways our office can support student learning when English is not their first language and other campus services that are available to this unique population. In addition, we will be discussing important compliance topics such as advising tips to ensure visa status is maintained and steps international students must take to participate in off-campus activities such as internships, service-learning, volunteering, and student teaching, which now require Homeland Security approval.
