The Professional Development Center, Buffalo State's United University Professions (UUP), and the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Office are excited to offer mindfulness and breathing sessions with Gizelle Stokes, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of
the Mindful Center. Please note: This is a 2 session series; Session 1 is on March 9th at 9:00 a.m. Please register for both sessions if you are available.
Session Description:
We will discuss the importance of the present moment and embark on a guided meditation based in Compassion for self and others, while using breath work strategies.
** A Zoom link will be sent to you 2-hours before the discussion.**
Biography:
Gizelle Stokes is a leading education and mental health professional with over 15 years of
experience in the field. Her commitment to maximizing the potential of her community;
supporting high needs youth, and supporting the professional in the workplace; she has
become highly sought after for various public speaking engagements, workplace wellness training and
workshop facilitation.
Currently, the Buffalo, NY native, serves as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of
the Mindful Center. The goal of the Mindful Center is to provide strategic social
emotional support services to businesses, schools and agencies by using mindfulness
based strategies to promote holistic wellness. The ultimate goal is to provide her clients
with self-care tools in order to live healthy, happy, whole and productive lives.
