Information session on Weigh-in On Wednesday (WOW)
We decided to jump on the bandwagon and began a virtual Weigh-in On Wednesday (WOW) program. If we need support physically and/or mentally, IT’S NOW. This is how virtual WOW works: participants will email the EAP coordinator their weight on Wednesday and she will keep all records confidential. A weekly “Top Loser” list (by weight-loss percentage) will be sent out so members can track their progress against other members of the group. Each member will have a code so this will also remain confidential. She will send out healthy lifestyle information each week, and we will hold a monthly Zoom meeting to share ideas, discuss goals, and maybe share struggles over maintaining weight during the pandemic. The goals we would like to achieve remain the same: to lose weight, eat healthier, move more, and develop a positive mind-set or all the above.
