Focus Groups for Research Foundation
The Institutional Innovation Advisory Council (IIAC) will be hosting focus groups for the campus community to provide feedback on the Campus Culture and Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey results that were shared via the Daily Bulletin on Monday, November 16th. The focus groups will provide a forum to gather additional ideas and input from the campus community to inform focus areas in the next strategic plan. More specifically, the IIAC is interested in connecting with faculty and staff to learn more about the many ways our work environment and culture have shifted, what has stayed the same since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and ideas for what Buffalo State should focus on in the strategic plan being created during the spring 2021 semester. Before registering, please ensure you are registering for a focus group with your respective employee category in the title. We are hosting focus groups with employees within the same category to ensure the different perspectives and experiences between employee groups are represented.
The Zoom information to connect to the focus group will be sent via email two hours before the session begins.
Other Information about the focus groups:
Each focus group will be an hour and thirty minutes and will be manually recorded in a shared OneDrive document by each participant and facilitator(s) to ensure we fully capture the ideas and perspectives shared. Information written on the shared document will be recorded anonymously. Only the facilitators and the IIAC Data Analysis Working Group will have access to the documents. Once the information is incorporated into the final report, documents will be deleted. Please note that by registering for a focus group you are providing consent to have your ideas and perspectives recorded in a shared document.
Please contact the Professional Development Center at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
