When Helping Hurts...Secondary Traumatic Stress and Student Affairs In-Person
If supporting a student through trauma has left you with lasting negative feelings, thoughts, or behaviors, you may be suffering from Secondary Traumatic Stress.
Please join Buffalo State Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration graduate student and Erie County Department of Social Services Senior Caseworker, Shandra Hake, to learn tools to recognize and address Secondary Traumatic Stress and see how it relates to work in Student Affairs.
