Living Library In-Person
Living Library, also known as a Human Library, is part of The Anne Frank Project's Social Justice Festival and will take place Thursday, October 3, 2018, from 10:15 a.m to 12:00 p.m. in the Student Union Social Hall.
The Living Library is a relatively new community-building program designed to provide opportunities for conversation and connection among people from different walks of life. The event presents individuals from marginalized or misrepresented communities who serve as human books. Event attendees are the readers who sign up to spend time with human books in a one-on-one conversation. Books are able to share their stories, and readers learn to better understand a different perspective. (Read more about the concept in this article.)
