Zines as Resistance In-Person
What does resistance mean to you? There are many, many forms of resistance: in art and in life. In this workshop, Jordan will facilitate discussions about resistance in creating art - visual and written - and participants will create and leave with a zine (or a couple) of their own. Zines themselves are a form of resistance, a subversive way for people to share their ideas and find community. As a result, zines are typically associated with feminist, punk, and queer circles that are generally anti-establishment, anti-capitalist, and anti-racist. Let's apply these ideas of resisting the "rules" of art and make a zine!
