Card Game Series: Pinochle In-Person

Rounding out the "Card Games" workshops is Pinochle, a popular trick-taking game with distinct phases in each hand. In Pinochle, two pairs compete and bid against each other in order to name a trump suit. Once bidding is finished, players meld various card combinations to help score points and fulfill their bidding contract. Then, the hand is played out, with pairs trying to take as many tricks as possible. Finally, each pair counts their points won during the play, and the winning bidder must complete their bidding contract or face a serious point penalty. The first pair to 100+ points WINS! This workshop is recommended for people who have an understanding of trump/trumping with a basic familiarity of other trick-taking card games. Pinochle is a great card game that challenges your memory while developing your playing strategy and card skills!
