Supporting International Students for Success In-Person

Are you currently advising or teaching international students or new Americans? If so, please join Buffalo State University’s International Student and Scholar Services for the brown-bag information session “Supporting International Students for Success” on Tuesday, Sept. 19th from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m.

Staff members will share ways our office can support student learning when English is not their first language, along with other campus services that are available to this unique population. In addition, we will discuss important compliance topics, including advising tips to ensure that visa status is maintained, and steps international students must take to participate in off-campus activities such as internships, service-learning, volunteering, and student teaching, which now require Homeland Security approval.

Please register to attend through the Workshop Registration System. For more information, please contact Tricia Herritt, director of international student and scholar services.
