Universal Design for Learning Framework: Self-Paced Online Course

A self-paced online course delivered on D2L Brightspace, will provide a comprehensive introduction to the Universal Design for Learning framework. Participants who successfully complete the requirements of the course will earn a digital badge.


Accessibility - Deque University

Courses are arranged into several curricula including Web Accessibility, Document Accessibility, Native Mobile Apps, and Customer Service for People with Disabilities. Courses include quizzes that when successfully completed provide a course certificate. 

It is recommended that everyone complete the “Accessibility Fundamentals - Disabilities, Guidelines, and Laws” course first, then take other courses in their area of interest and/or expertise.

Brightspace Toolkit for Accessibility in UDL

This course is for people who want to be mindful of accessibility practices when they adopt Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in their learning context. It will help you apply the principles and guidelines of UDL in ways that are accessible to learners with disabilities. You'll also learn about the tools in Brightspace that will help you make learning accessible

This short course is intended for anyone using Brightspace as an introduction to disabilities, assistive technologies, and Brightspace accessibility features. It includes hands-on exercises that provide practical experience in using some accessibility features and tools. It also provides an overview of D2L’s accessibility practice and offers resources for further reference.
