SUMMARY:Moving Through the AI Grief Cycle: Reflection and Action for Online Teaching and Assessment
DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence is reshaping teaching and learning
faster than many of us expected—and with that change can come
uncertainty\, frustration\, and even a sense of loss. In this
conversational workshop\, faculty will reflect on The AI Grief Cycle
episode from the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast and discuss how emotional
responses to AI are showing up in our teaching\, assessment\, and course
design—especially online.\n\nThis session is not about mastering tools or
enforcing policies. Instead\, it creates space for honest conversation\,
shared experiences\, and practical ways to move forward with intention.
Faculty will leave with new perspectives and concrete ideas for navigating
AI in ways that support learning and align with their teaching
values.\n\nPre-work: Participants should listen to the Teaching in Higher
Ed podcast episode “The AI Grief Cycle” prior to attending.\n\nThis is
the second of four webinars in the Evolving Online Classroom Series.
