SUNY Webinar: Writing AI Use Statements That Support Student Learning Online

Develop clear AI use statements that explain where AI fits in your course, set appropriate expectations, and support student learning without relying on blanket bans.

Join Stony Brook University’s Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) for a focused, one-hour overview on how faculty can develop AI use statements that support teaching and student learning. Participants will draft or revise a course-wide statement and develop assignment-level language that communicates whether, when, and how students may use AI. The session emphasizes alignment with course learning goals, clarity for students, transparency, and consistency between course-wide and assignment-specific expectations.
