Designing to Engage: Instructional Design and the Brightspace Content Experience Online

Engaging online courses are built through intentional design choices that support how students read, navigate, and interact with course materials—across devices and learning contexts. This session invites faculty to revisit course design in Brightspace with a focus on clarity, engagement, and sustainability.

Using instructional design principles as a guide, we’ll explore how shifting from uploaded documents to HTML-based content can improve readability, accessibility, and mobile-friendliness. Along the way, we’ll briefly discuss how AI tools can support the conversion of existing materials—such as PowerPoint slides—into engaging, well-structured HTML pages.

This is the final webinar in the Evolving Online Classroom Series.
